    Bogdan Achimescu

     

     

    Bogdan Achimescu was born in Timisoara (Romania) in 1965. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cluj (1985-90) and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (1990-93). Now he works at the Faculty of Intermedia of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He completed his doctoral dissertation in 2008. And he lectures trensmedia there. He deals with prints, digital prints, installations, video and environment. He was given scholarships and artistic stays in: Germany (1994, 1999), USA (1995-96), Sitzerland (1995-96), Ireland (1998, 2001-2002), France (1999), Mongolia (2004), Taiwan (2004). He also worked as a visiting professor at the Wisconsin University (Tuscon, 2000-2002), the Virginia University (Charlottenville, 2000, 2002-2004), the State University in Utah (2005). His works were shown on the individual exhibitions in Poland, Ireland, Italy, USA and Switzerland. In 1992 he was awarded with Grand Prix of the Print Triennial in Biella (Italy). He took part in the Context Network project which represented the Romanian Pavilion at the Art Biennial in Venice in 2001.

    Agnieszka Berezowska

    Agnieszka Berezowska was born in 1973. She studied at the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In 1998 she received an artistic scholarship in Offenbach am Main ( Germany). She practises linocuts and produces spatial forms. Her works were presented on individual shows in Poland, France and Holland; she also took part in a few dozen of group exhibitions. In 2000 she was awarded with an artistic distinction of the International Competition named for Józef Gielniak. She is a member of an artistic female „Group 13”.

    The artist had an exhibition in Jan Fejkiel Gallery together with Anna Sadowska . She also took part in collective shows organised by the gallery, i.a.:  Beyond the Passe-Partout, New Spaces in Print, JFG (2006, Cracow); Visible/ Invisible, Turchin Center for Visual Arts, (2012/13 Boone NC, USA).

    Bartłomiej Chwilczyński

    Bartłomiej Chwilczyński (born in 1987) is a visual artist and a printmaker as well. He deals with graphic art using lithography as his favourite technique, he is also a painter, makes drawings and performs experiments with new media.

    Zbigniew Biel

    Zbigniew Biel born in 1957. He studied at the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow.He had several individual exhibitions and took part in a few dozen group shows. He was awarded with the II Prize (1989) and Grand Prix (1991)) at the International Print Biennial „Cuprum” in Lubin ( Poland) and with the II Prize of the Polish Print Triennial ( 1991) in Katowice. He worked as a preservationist of historical objects and also as a interior designer; both strongly influenced his prints. In printmakinghe practises etching and drawing.

    The artist had an individual exhibitions in Jan Fejkiel Gallery. He also took part in collective shows organised by the gallery, i.a.: The Young Cracow Printmakers, Polish Culture Institut, Prague 1993; The Ironic Portrait, the State Gallery (1993, Cracow, Kielce, Łódż), Forum Ost-West (1994, Bergisch Gladbach); Stone, Metal, Wood, Computer ,Cracow Expo Center(1994); The Polish Printmakers and the French Poets, Galerie des Franciscains  St.Nazaire); Visible/ Invisible, Turchin Center for Visual Arts, (2012/13 Boone NC, USA).

    Zbigniew Bielawka

    Zbigniew Bielawka was born in 1953. He finished the Painting Faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. For one year he continued studying copperplate engraving at the Print Department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm. He is a painter, too. At the end of 80's he became interested in photography. He presented his prints, paintings and photographies on over 20 individual exhibitionsin Poland and abroad. In 2002 he took part in „Stadtgesichter” project. He collected photos of important persons of two cities: Cracow and Nuremberg and presented them on two exhibitions in both cities.

    The artist had three individual exhibitions in Jan Fejkiel Gallery so far.     Andrzej Bielawski

    Andrzej Bielawski was born in 1949. He studied at the Print Faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1967-73). He worked as a tutor there (1982-83). In 1991 together with his wife Teresa Starzec he founded the Atelier Foundation and the School of Drawing and Painting. He teaches there now. He deals with painting, print, drawing and photography. He presented his works on more than 20 individual shows ( among others: two monografical shows in the State Gallery Zachęta in Warsaw) in Poland and abroad and on numerous group exhibitions. He was given several scholarships : the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam (1981), the Stadt Galerie in Wolfsburg (Germany,1982), Atelierhaus in Worpswede (Germany,1985-86), George Washington University, Central and East European Foundation in Washington (USA, 1991).

    Kacper Bożek

    Kacper Bożek was born in 1974. He studied at the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He got the Art Scholarship of City of Cracow (2003). He is a laureate of prizes for student works and I Prize for exlibris in Poznań (Poland). He teaches at the copperplate studio of the Print Department from 2011. In 2014 he finished his doctoral dissertation. He exhibited his works on individual shows and several group exhibitions. Most often he works in metal techniques and litography.

    The artist took part in collective shows organised by the gallery, i.a.: Mondo Cane, JFG, (2001, Cracow); Visible/ Invisible, Turchin Center for Visual Arts, (2012/13 Boone NC, USA).

    Marta Bożyk

    Marta Bożyk was born in 1973. She graduated with distinction from the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. Now she is a lecturer there. She was given an artistic scholarship from the City of Cracow and Mino City in Japan (2001). She presented her works on a dozen individual exhibitions and took part in many collective shows. She was awarded with the technical Award on the International Print Exhibition in Taichung ( Taiwan,2008) and with the Equal Prize on the International Triennial of Art Bitola ( Macedonia, 2009). She is a member of the artistic female „Group 13”.

    Monika Cichoń

     

    Monika Cichoń was born in 1980. In 2005 she finished the Print Faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. She completed her diploma in Prof.Eugeniusz Get Stankiewicz Studio (drawing) and in Prof.Eugeniusz Smoliński Studio ( graphic design). Before she was studying the Culture Faculty of the Śląski University (1999-2000). She also spent several months studying art at Hochschule fur Grafik und Buchkunstin in Leipzig (Germany). She draws, makes prints and paints. She exhibited her works on a dozen or so individual shows and took part in numerous group exhibitions in Poland and abroad.

    Ola Cieślak

    Aleksandra Cieślak was born in 1981. She studied at the Print Faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She uses etching and silkscreen as printing techniques. She is a laureate of scholarship both domestic and foreign, in addition to the Rector`s Award from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. In 2005, at the Biennial of Student Art in Poznań, she received the Award of the Association of Polish Painters and Graphic Artists.

    Sławomir Ćwiek

    Sławomir Ćwiek was born in Łódż in 1954. He studied at the Print Department of The State College of Visual Arts in his home town (1974-1980). In 1980 he graduated from the Print Department in the Lithography Studio at Prof. Jerzy Grabowski and in the Painting Studio at Prof. Stanisław Fijałkowski. Since 1992 he takes lectures at his home academy. He became an academy professor in 2017. Now he runs the Studio of Mixed Techniques and at the same time he is a director of the Artistic Print Department at the Print and Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódż.

    Agnieszka Dobosz

     

    Agnieszka Dobosz was born in 1969. She started her art education at the Faculty of Design of the National Higher Art School in Gdansk. She graduated with distinction from the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (1993). Now she works as an assistant professor at the Rzeszow University where she runs classes at the Intaglio Studio. In 2004 he presented her doctoral dissertation at the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She practises printmaking and drawing. She belongs to the artistic feminine „Group 13”. She took part in numerous exhibitions in Poland and abroad. She got the Art Scholarship of City of Cracow (1995). She won I Prize at poster competition in Heilbronn ( Germany,1991) and in Cracow (1993) as well. She was awarded with the Statutory Award of the International Print Triennial in Cracow (1994) and with the Hollar Association Award in Praque (Chechs,1995). In 2000 she was invited to take part in Drukproject in Mehlwaage Kunstlerwerkstadt (Freiburg).

    Teodor Durski

    Teodor Durski was born in 1976. He studied at the Textile and FashionFaculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódż in 1998-2003. In 2003 he graduated with distinction in tapestry and carpet design. He broaden his diploma adding painting and print. He practices print and painting. He had a dozen of individual exhibitions and took part in numerous group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. He was rewarded with the Special Prize at the Strzemiński Competition (Łódż, 2002), the Main Award of the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts at the Strzemiński Competition (Łódż, 2003), the Special Award at the Polish Print Triennial (Katowice, 2003), III Award of the IV All-Polish Print Competition (Tczew, 2004), the Honorary Medal of the XII Competition of Small Prints (Łódż, 2005).

    Stanisław Fijałkowski

    Stanisław Fijałkowski was born in Zdołbunów (in Wołyń region). In 1945-51 studies at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Łodż. He belongs to the International Woodcut Society XYLON. He is a memmber of the European Academy of Art and Sciences in Salzburg and the Royal Belgian Academy of Sciences, Literature and Fine Arts. He deals with painting and print. He uses linocut technique most often and experiments with digital print and silkscreen. He exhibited his works in a few dozen individual shows and took part in hundred exhibitions of Polish art in Poland and abroad. He won many prizes and distinctions, among others: I Prize, the Drawing Triennial in Wrocław (1968), the Honorary Medal, the International Print Biennial in Cracow (1970), II Prize, the International Print Biennial in Frechen (Germany, 1978), Grand Prix, All-Polish Print Exhibition in Warsaw (1981), J.Cybis Award (1990). In 2002 the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódż honoured him with the title of the honoris causa doctor.

    Joanna Gałecka

    Joanna Gałecka was born in Mońki in the North-East of Poland. She finished the Secondary School of Art in Supraśl. She studied at the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In 1992 she graduated from the Print Department and in 1994 from the Painting Department. She was a scholar at the T.Kulisiewicz Foundation and the John Paul II, too. She was rewarded for her works with Grand Prix and artistic distinctions in "The Best Print of Month" and "The Small Format" competitions.

    Julia Jarża

    Julia Jarża was born in 1972. She finished the Print Faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (1992-1977). She graduated there in 1997. She had over 15 individual exhibitions and took part in numerous group exhibitions. She belongs to the artistic female group “Grupa 13”. She was rewarded with the II Award in the Print of the Month Competition (1997), the Honorary Distinction of the Print of the Year (1998), I Award of the Youngest Artists from Cracow and Bratysława Competition (1998), the Award of the Minister of Culture of the VI International Art Triennial (Majdanek, 2000). She practises print (linocut) and drawing.

    Jerzy Jędrysiak

     

    Jerzy Jędrysiak was born in 1954. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He is a professor of the Art Department of the Pedagogical Univesity in Cracow. He runs the Woodcut Studio there. He showed his works on 60 individual exhibitions in Poland and abroad ( Germany, Holland,France, Belgium Slovakia, Croatia, Austria, Ireland, USA). He won 24 artistic awards in Poland and 14 international awards in printmaking (e.g.: I Prize , XYLON, the International Woodcut Triennial, 1987, Winterthur, Switzerland; the Ex Aequo Prize, the International Print Triennial, 1990, Frechen, Germany; II Prize, the International Print Biennial, 1991, Wakayama, Japan; Grand Prix, the International Print Biennial, 1991, Bhopal, India; I Prize, the International Print Biennial, 1993, Maastricht, Holland; the Prize, the International Print Exhibition, 1996, Portland, USA ). He usually works in linocut technique.

    Małgorzata Józefowicz

    Małgorzata Józefowicz (“Skinny”) was born in 1986. She graduated from the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. Now she is a teacherat the High School of Art in Supraśl (North-East of Poland ). She took part in exhibitions in Poland and abroad (e.g.: “Freegeneration” exhibition in New Orlean ,USA. In 2012 got the III Award of the 8 Triennial of Polish Print in Katowice. She practises printmaking and painting.

    Anna Juszczak

    Anna Juszczak was born in 1988 in Cracow. She studied at the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In 2012 she got her diploma which was presented on the Best Diploma Exhibition in Cracow. It was also rewarded with the Art Society Distinction there. She got the T.Kulisiewicz Scholarship (2012) and some awards and distinctions in graphic competitions the Print of the Year. She took part in a few dozen group exhibitions. Now she learns at the doctoral studies at the Acadamy of Fine Arts. In 2014 she got the Art Scholarship of the President of the City of Cracow. She was also a scholar of Erasmus Project. She practises printmaking, painting, drawing, book design and runs print workshops.

    Andrzej Kapusta

    Andrzej Kapusta was born in 1956. In 1981 he finished the Painting Faculty of the Academu of Fine Arts in Cracow. He was teaching there in 1982-1999. He is a painter and printmaker. He received the France Liberte Founation Scholarship (1986) and the British Council Scholarship (1990). In 1987 he won Grand Prix at the Painting Festival of the Young in 1991 and the Award of the Polish Culture Foundation. He was producing painting cycles and monotypes alternately. The artist exhibited his works on a dozen or so individual shaws and many group ones.

    Maria Korusiewicz

    Maria Korusiewicz was born in 1956 in Katowice. She finished English Fililogy at the Śląski University and Art Faculty at the Higher Pedagogical School in Częstochowa. She deals with print and drawing. She presented her works on individual exhibitions in e.g.: the Institut of Polish Culture in London (1986, 1987), in the Art Hall in Bytom, Orgazowitz Gallery in Zagreb (1988), Cottenham Gallery in London (1990). She took part in many competitions and international group exhibitions, e.g.: Frechen (1986, 1990), Seul (she got the Distinction, 1986, 1988), Bristol (1986, 1989), Toronto (1987,1988), Grenoble (1989), Stockholm (1991).

    Janina Kraupe

    Janina Kraupe was born in 1921. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow and graduated in 1955. She is a member of a fringe artistic society „Grupa Krakowska”. She is a professor of the Academy of Fine Arts. She is a painter and printmaker. She also draws. In printmaking she uses linocut as a technique. She had many individual exhibitions and took part in hunderds of group ones in Poland and abroad. She won many awards, e.g. at the International Print Biennial (Cracow, 1968), the Drawing Triennial (Kalisz, 1987), the Polish Woodcut and Linocut Quadriennial (Olsztyn, 1987).

    Zbigniew Lutomski

    Zbigniew Lutomski was born in 1934 in Grodno. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow and graduated in 1960. He is a professor of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow and in Poznan. He ran the Woodcut Studios at the both Academies. He belongs to the International Woodcut Society XYLON. He was an organizer of many years of the International Print Biennial and Triennial in Cracow. He had a few dozen individual exhibitions and took part in a few hundred group ones in Poland and abroad. He won many awards and distinctions at e.g.: all-Polish Print Competition in Lodz (1969, 1973, 1979, 1981,1987), the International Print Biennial and Triennial in Cracow (1986, 1991), all-Polish Gielniak Competition in Jelenia Gora (1979, 1983). He twice won Grand Prix and I Prize at the Woodcut and Linicut Quadriennial in Olsztyn (1991, 1995, 1999). He also got the Mayor Prize at the Print Biennial in Tokyo.

    Ewelina Małysa

    Ewelina Małysa was born in 1977. She studied at the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She received the Art Scholarshipsof the City of Cracow (2004) and of the Minister of Culture (2005). In 2007 she completed her doctoral dissertation at the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She was awarded with Grand Prix at the art competition the Print of the Year (Cracow, 2003, 2005) and with many distinctions at the Best Print of the Year (Cracow) and the City and a Man Competitions(Poznan, 2003). She got the Mianowski Award of the International Print Triennial in Cracow (2009). Two-time she got the Chrostowska Award and the Distinction of the Polish Print Triennial in Katowice (2006, 2009, 2012). Previously she was working in metal print techniques (etching, aquatint, mezzotint). Now she mostly uses lithography.

    Hanna Michalska-Baran

    Hanna Michalska was born in 1963 in Torun. She studied at the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She deals with print, drawing and painting. She uses etching as a printing technique. She belongs to the artistic group TE7EM. She had individual exhibitions and took part in many group shows as well. She won Grand Prix at the Galicia Competition organised by the Austrian Consulate in Cracow and was rewarded with Grand Prix (twice) and Distinctions at the Best Print of Month (Cracow, 1993, 1994).

    The artist had an individual exhibition in Jan Fejkiel Gallery. She also took part in collective shows organised by the gallery, i.a.:  Stone, Metal, Wood, Computer ,Cracow Expo Center(1994); The Alternative Graphic, JFG (1995, Cracow); The Element and the Method, Galerie de la C.G.E.R.     Małgorzata Niespodziewana

    Małgorzata Malwina Niespodziewana was born in 1972. She graduated with distinction from the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (1998).She was awarded by the Ministry of Culture (1998) and got the Art Scholarship of the City of Cracow (1999), Mythological Europe Revisited ( Italy) and Mino Art Village Project ( Japan 2002,2006). She took part in group exhibitions and in several individual ones in Poland, Denmark, Japan, Germany, Sweden, and Italy. Among other distinctions she got Grand Prix on the Youngest Cracovian Artist's Confrontations (1999) and Grand Prix on the Print Biennial in Kaliningrad ( Russia,2005). She works in various artistic mediums: print, artistic book, instalation and video and belongs to an artistic women's „Group 13”.

    Monika Niwelińska

    Monika Niwelinska was born in 1976 is a lecturer in the Faculty of Graphic Arts(the Department of Drawing and Painting) at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. She is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, PolandDepartment of Printmaking (diploma with honors, 2004) and the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada – Department of Art and Design(Master of Fine Arts, 2007). Scholarship from Akademie der bildenden Künste in Vienna and the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada – a scholarship and assistant training in The Department of Art and Design. Polish scholarships: Young Poland Scholarship, Scholarship of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, Scholarship of the City of Krakow. Has contributed to numerous individual and collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Works in drawing, installation, painting, printmaking and photography.

    Tadeusz Nuckowski

    Tadeusz Nuckowski was born in 1948 in Przemyśl. In 1969-1974 he studied at the Print Faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He graduated with distinction Medal of Rector of the Academy. In 1976-96 he was a director of the State Gallery of Contemporary Art in Przemyśl. In 1995 he stardted to teach. He became a professor of art in 2012. He runs the Print Design Studios at the Art Faculty of the University in Rzeszów and at the State Easteuropean Higher School in Przemyśl. He deals with print, digital print, drawing and collage. He is also engaged in photography, print design and art of book. He had a dozen of individual shows and took part in numerous exhibitions in Poland and abroad. He won many awards and distinctions i.a.: III Award of the VIII International Print Biennial in Cracow (1980), the Statutory Award of the II Polish Woodcut and Linocut Quadriennial in Olsztyn (1979), distinction on the All-Polish Print Competition named J.Gielniak in Jelenia Góra (1979, 19881), the II Statutory Award of the XI International Print Biennial in Cracow (young print exhibition „Interdebut”, 1976), the Annual Stroński Award in Przemyśl (2006).

    Henryk Ożóg

    Henryk Ożóg born in 1956. He studied at the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He graduated in 1981. Now he is a professor and runs the Intaglio Studio there. He is also a lecturer at the Higher State Easteuropean School in Przemysl.He practises print, painting and drawing. Most often he uses metal techniques in printmaking : aquatint, dry point, soft-ground etching. He exhibited his works on more than 30 individual shows and took part in about 300 group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. He won numerous awards and honourable mentions including a distinction and I Prize at the Polish Print Competition in Lodz (1984, 1994), at the Print Biennial in Lubliana (1991, 1997), at the Polish Print Triennial in Katowice (1994, 2000, 2006). In 1997 he won the Statutory Award at the International Print Triennial in Cracow and the Prize of International Exhibition in the Art Museum in Portland (USA). In 2009 the artist was awarded with Grand Prix at the 7th Polish Print Triennial in Katowice.

    Jerzy Panek

    Jerzy Panek (1918 – 2001). He was born in Tarnów. He studied at the Print Faculty of the State Institut of Fine Arts in Cracow (1937-42). In 1945-48 he continued education at the Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He graduated in 1955. He is a member of the International Woodcut Society XYLON. He produced a few hundred woodcuts and great amount of drawings. He was mainly using woodcut as a print technique but also various metal techniques. He was a painter, too. His works were presented on numerous individual exhibitions in Poland and abroad and took part in a few hundred group shows of Polsh art. He won many prizes and distinctions, e.g.:the Minister of Culture and Art Prize (1963), the Press Award at the International Print Biennial in Cracow (1972), the J.Cybis Award (1988). He won the Gold Medal at the Art Triennial in Delhi (1971). In 1993 the Senate of the Academy of Fine Arts honoured him with title of the Honorary Professor. For his all artistic activity he was given the Award of City of Cracow and the Award of the Governor of Małopolska (1998).

    Andrzej Pietsch

     

    Andrzej Pietsch (1932 – 2010) was born in Cracow where he finished the High School of Art. He studied and graduated from the Print Faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He worked as a tutor there. After some years he started to work at the Higher School of Fine Arts in Poznań. He ran the Intaglio Studio there. In 1969 he became the Dean of the Print Faculty in Katowice (the department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow). In the seventies he was twice a rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In seventies and eighties he chaired the International Print Biennial in Cracow. He used mainly etching and silkscreen sometimes. He got the Art Prize of City of Cracow (1974), the Art Award of the Minister of Culture (1975), and also many other awards and distinctions e.g.: at the International Print Biennial in Cracow (1966, 1968, 1970), the International Print Biennial in Bradford (1976) and Fredrikstaad (1984). In 1999 he won the Equal Award at the Print Biennial of Small Forms in Łódż.

    Władysław Pluta

    Władyslaw Pluta was born in 1949. He studied at the Faculty of Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow and graduated in 1974. Now he is a professor there. In 1993-96 he was a vice-president of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He lectures at a dozen of European universities. He practises graphic design and graphic art. He is a laureate of many international and national prizes for poster and book design. And he got numerous distinctions for his artistic and pedagogical activity. In 1995 he won a distinction for a cycle of serigraphies on the International Print Biennial in Bhopal ( India). He practises serigraphy.

    Anna Sadowska

     

    Anna Sadowska born in 1971. She graduated with distinction from the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She was given a scholarship of the Minister of Culture (1998). She exhibited her works on individual shows in Poland, France ,Sweden, Bulgaria an Hungary and took part in many group exhibitions. She was awarded at All-Poland Biennial of Student Print in Poznań (1999) and with a distinction at the VIII Polish Print Triennial in Katowice (2012). She is a member of an artistic women's “Group 13”. Mainly uses metal techniques ( etching, dry point ) and also deals with graphic design.

    Krzysztof Skórczewski

     

    Krzysztof Skórczewski born in 1947. He studied at the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. Now he is a Professor of the University in Rzeszów ( East of Poland) and runs the Print Faculty at the Art Department there. He exhibited his works on more than 60 individual shows. Among other awards he won II Award and Special Award of IV and XI International Print Biennial in Cracow (1972 and 1986), I Award of the International Print Festival in Menton ( France,1989), Special Award of the International Print Biennial „CuprumVI” in Lubin ( Poland,1995) and I Award of Premio Sciascia in Milano (Italy, 2009). He is mostly involved in copperplate engraving but he also produces cycles of drawings. Works in chosen museum collections : the National Museum in Warsaw, Cracow, Poznan, Gdansk (Poland), Graphische Sammlung Albertina in Vienna (Austria), Cabinet d`Estampes in Geneve (Swiss), Museum of Modern Art in New York, National Gallery of Art in Washingtom (USA), University of Alberta in Edmonton (Canada) .

    Wiesław Skibiński

    Wiesław Skibiński was born in 1961. He finished the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He holds a degree in print and animated film. In 1999 he got a Minister of Culture Scholarship. He received several awards and distinctions for animated film and prints. He exhibited his works on individual shows in Poland, Germany and Japan and took part in many exhibitions in various countries. He deals with print, drawing, illustration and cartoon. He is a member of artistic group “TE 7EM”.

    Anna Sobol-Wejman

    Anna Sobol-Wejman born in 1946. She studied at the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In 1985 she ran print workshops at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rejkjavik ( Island). Her works were shown on individual exhibitions in Poland and abroad and took part in a few dozen collective ones. She won Grand Prix of the III International Print Biennial in Gyor ( Hungary,1995). In 2009 she was honoured with the Witold Wojtkiewicz Award of the Union of Polish Artists and Designers for the exhibition “The Sitting Women. Conversation with S.W.” in Jan Fejkiel Gallery in Cracow. She practises metal techniques and litography.

    Jacek Sroka

    Jacek Sroka born in 1957. He finished the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He worked as an assistant professor there (1981-89). He exhibited his works in numerous exhibitions in Poland and abroad. In 2008 his retrospective exhibition took place in the National Museum in Cracow. He won many awards and distinctions at the international print exhibitions e.g.:at the Print Biennial in Mulhouse (France,1984), the International Exhibition of Print Miniature in Toronto (Canada,1986), the Atlantic Print in Rejkjawik (Island,1987), the Print Biennial in Vaasa (Sweden,1987), the International Print Triennial in Cracow (Poland, 1994). In 1988 ha was awarded Grand Prix of the Print Biennial in Seoul ( Korea). He was also honoured with the Witold Wojtkiewicz Award of the Union of Polish Artists and Designers for the exhibition in Jan Fejkiel Gallery in Cracow ( 2000). He practises metal techniques in printmaking (etching, aquatint), painting and drawing.

    Marianna Stuhr

    Marianna Stuhr was born in 1982. She finished the Print Faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In 2011 she finished a doctoral study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She twice got a scholarship of the Minister of Culture (2005-6, 2008-10) and of Kościuszko Foundation (2009). A few times she was a laureate of the Warsavian Print Competition. She received an artistic grant of Fondazione Italo-Svedese in Venice (2004); she took part in international print project “Self – Image / Fact or Fiction” at the Print Faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (2005) and also in Polish – German artistic workshops “Abstraction – Figuration” in Radolfzell (2009). She exhibited her works on several individual shows and took part in a few dozen group exhibitions.

    Marcin Surzycki

    Marcin Surzycki was born in 1963. He finished the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow where he is a professor now. He won Grand Prix at the all-Polish Print Biennial “Towards Value” (1990) and at the Polish Print Triennial in Katowice (2003). He also got the Special Award of the International Print Triennial in Cracow (2003) and the Statutory Awards of the International Print Exhibition in Frechen (Germany,1990,1996). He took part in numerous group exhibitions. He practises his own intaglio technique and serigraphy.

    Krzysztof Tomalski

    Krzysztof Tomalski born in 1963. He graduated with distinction at the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He works as a professor there. Now he is a dean of the Print Department. Among others he was awarded with the Bronze Medal of the International Print Exhibition in Yunnan (China, 2012) and the Special Award of the Polish Print Triennial in Katowice ( Poland, 2012). He took part in artistic workshops at the Madison University (Great Britain), in Venice (Italy), at the University in Storrs ( USA, Connecticut, 2011) He took part in numerous group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. He practises matal technuiques especially his own one called alintaglio (a dry point on aluminium plates).

    Dariusz Vasina

     

    Dariusz Vasina was born in 1964 in Cracow. He studied at the Print Faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in 1985-90. And he worked as a assistant professor there. He graduated from the Copper Engraving Studio and broadened his diploma adding drawing. In 2007 he completed his doctoral dissertation. He runs the Painting Studio and the Drawing Studio at the Print Faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He was a co-founder and a member of an artistic group “Three Eyes”. The group functioned nearly twenty years. He took part in over 60 exhibitions. He deals with print, painting, drawing and produces three-dementional objects.

    Justyna Warchala

    Justyna Warchala born in 1984. She studied at the Print Department of The Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In 2007 she got the Ministry of Culture Scholarship. In the same year she was awarded Grand Prix of the Print of The Year Competition and with the II Statutory Award in 2008 (Cracow). At the Triennial of Polish Print in Katowice ( 2009) she was nominated to the Founded Award. She won a distinction for the Print of the Young and in In 2010 she was awarded Grand Prix at The Print of the Month competition. She uses linocut as her favourite technique.

    Tomasz Winiarski

    Tomasz Winiarski born in 1982. He finished the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow where he works as an assistant professor. He exhibited his works on several individual exhibitions in Poland and abroad ( Spain). He also took part in group exhibitions. He won distinctions at the International Triennial of Graphic Art „Imprint 2008 „ in Warsaw and at the X Caixanova International Print Biennial in Orense ( Spain, 2008). He uses metal techniques in printmaking.

    Stanisław Wejman

     

    Stanisław Wejman born in 1944. He studied at the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In 1900-93 he was a dean of the Print Department. Now he is a professor there. He took part in a few hundred group exhibitions and in a few dozen individual ones or with his wife Anna Sobol-Wejman also a printmaker. He won the Purchase Award in ACA Gallery in Calgary (Canada ,1971) and at the International Print Biennial in Fredrikstadt (Norway,1976). He lectured as a visiting professor at the Art Department of the Connecticut University in Storrs (USA,1984-1985 ). He run a course in printmaking at the Concordia University in Montreal (Canada,1990). He practises print ( mostly metal techniques and litography) , painting and drawing. Stanisław Wejman's exhibition “Sentimental Construction Site” was presented at Jan Fejkiel Gallery in 2013 and was awarded by the Witold Wojtkiewicz Award. Works in collections: Museum of Modern Art (NYC, USA), Benton Museum (Storrs, Connecticut, USA), Graphische Sammlung – Albertina (Vienna, Austria), Polish National Museum ( Cracow, Lodz, Poznan), Minneapolis Institute of Art (USA).

  • Katarzyna Wojdyła

    Katarzyna Wojdyła born in 1984. She studied at the Print and New Media Departments of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. She received a scholarship of the City of Wrocław (2007), Alberta College of Art & Design, Calgary (2008) and Univesity of Porto, Portugal (2007). She took part in several group exhibitions, mostly with the artists group “Silnia”. She usually works in metal techniques and linocut; she also deals with graphic design.
