Julia Jarża was born in 1972. She finished the Print Faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (1992-1977). She graduated there in 1997. She had over 15 individual exhibitions and took part in numerous group exhibitions. She belongs to the artistic female group “Grupa 13”. She was rewarded with the II Award in the Print of the Month Competition (1997), the Honorary Distinction of the Print of the Year (1998), I Award of the Youngest Artists from Cracow and Bratysława Competition (1998), the Award of the Minister of Culture of the VI International Art Triennial (Majdanek, 2000). She practises print (linocut) and drawing.
